Isolation – Looking 25 forever!

Isolagen is a relatively unknown cosmetic treatment that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, thus firming the skin and helping to prevent and remove wrinkles.

What is Isolagen?

Isolagen is for people who want to keep their skin young naturally and who do not want to undergo a facelift. It is a method in which the patient’s own skin cells (more specifically the fibroblasts) are taken and multiplied and then replaced using superficial injections.Fibroblasts are the main cells for the production of collagen and elastin . They tend to move to areas where cells are missing and where there are wrinkles or scars. There they produce new collagen and repair damaged tissues. The result is gradually firmer skin and fewer wrinkles. The treatment can be applied anywhere on the body, including the upper arms or neck. Isolagen was developed in America and is distributed in the Benelux by Trango Medicals. The treatment may only be administered by a doctor trained in Isolagen, and at the moment there are not that many.

Is it safe?

This is skin’s own material, so allergic reactions, skin thickening, over-treatment or rejection symptoms are excluded.

Correct and prevent wrinkles

Isolagen is especially suitable for people with early skin aging. Collagen and elastin production is brought back to the level of a young person. This tightens the skin, corrects emerging wrinkles and prevents the formation of new wrinkles.People with advanced skin sagging can also achieve good results, but completely tightening the skin is not possible with this treatment.Isolagen is also ideal for prevention . With age, the skin produces less and less collagen (at the age of 40 the body has lost approximately 40% of its fibroblasts) and the influence of a poor diet (lots of white bread and sugar, few vegetables and fruit) can reduce collagen production. thoroughly disrupted.A simple and painless test at the dermatologist can reveal the status of your collagen. If you do not yet have wrinkles, but your skin produces little collagen, you can keep your skin young forever with the combination of Isolagen + healthy food + a good sunscreen.Isolagen is not used for people with an autoimmune disease, for those who have suffered from melanoma in the past and for those who are predisposed to excessive scar tissue formation.

The treatment

Under local anesthesia, a piece of skin is removed from behind the ear (where the skin is least exposed to the sun and therefore the youngest). The fibroblasts are purified from that sample. This is done in the Isolagen laboratory in London. After eight to ten weeks, the material returns and is ready to be injected. The cells are preferably removed and stored when they are still young. The younger the fibroblasts, the better they will do their job. You can then have them injected from the moment your collagen production starts to slow down. The treatment itself is what is now called a lunch break treatment : it lasts no more than ten minutes to half an hour and you can then get back to work straight away without anyone noticing. In the worst case, your skin may become slightly red or slightly irritated. However, most people don’t have any problems.Four to six weeks later it is recommended to repeat the treatment. For more severe skin damage, multiple treatments are required. Are you afraid of the injections? Then your doctor can give you a local anesthetic and a special cream.

Results

Isolagen puts the skin to work in a natural way. The results are therefore gradual: day after day you look more rested, fresher and younger. After two to three months, the skin is firmer and tighter and fine lines and wrinkles have faded naturally. The skin continues to renew itself for two years and the results can last 5 to 7 years. This makes Isolagen the most sustainable non-surgical anti-ageing technique on the market.Remember that the results are personal because it is your own skin that is put to work. The better you take care of your skin from within, the better the results will be. So: eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, avoid sugar and white flour products (white bread, white pasta) and use a good sunscreen every day, even in winter.
