Balance in life

Actually it sounds simple, your life is a combination of family, friends, work, social life and all this in normal proportions, so that you can really enjoy life and nothing bad if a Japanese person only takes pictures during his holiday and looks at home to see what he/she actually missed.

Why is balancing so difficult?

Because that’s what it is!. The many lifestyle diseases are in direct contact with the imbalance of life. The rat race is something that many people put on after their studies like a nice sitting coat and get into the swing of life. That step includes (for most people) relationships, family, social activities, etc. There is nothing wrong with that, unless we want to fit more activities into 24 hours than we actually do, because that is not good for the body. . Of course, a young body will be able to handle more, but if you continue such a pattern for longer, sooner or later it will take its revenge and usually in the weak spot. With all this, the question of why it is so difficult is not yet answered. This answer is inherent in man, the social animal that man is. That is, most people want to belong and that belonging comes with similar things. Some of these people are also competitive and want a little more than others. In Western society this costs more money and there must therefore be sufficient money available. The salary of one of the partners is often no longer even sufficient, which means that both partners have to work. Add to this the fact that women also have to make a career (if not of their own accord, then at least because society demands it), and you combine everything in a time that does not allow everything. Regardless of whether you feel comfortable with it.

Imbalance

This means that you have to let things slide, but we prefer not to do that and that is how the imbalance arises. No one other than the person themselves causes this imbalance in their own life. Fortunately, you are also the person who can transform this imbalance into balance in life, but that is not easy.

Finding balance is more than relaxing

In addition to relaxing regularly, there is even more to balance in life and that has to do with the overall picture of the things you do in your life. Some examples:

  • If you do work that you absolutely do not like, it will cost you much more energy than if you do something you do like. Looking for another job may then be the consequence.
  • Make choices in life and make sure you do the things that matter most to you. If you have a family, for example, agree with your partner that there will be a balance in the things done with and for the children.
  • Take moments for yourself and it is very personal, some people will seek peace and quiet by reading a good book, or getting an hour’s massage, visiting a sauna or going shopping with friends. It’s about the time you spend for yourself (alone or with others).
  • Take a moment of silence every day to clear your thoughts. Whether this is during a walk with the dog, on the bike to work or a moment of meditation as soon as you get out of bed, it doesn’t matter. But a moment when you put your thoughts on track (so no “to do” list in your head), but just beautiful thoughts or nothing at all.
  • Eat food that doesn’t throw you off balance. The nutrients your body needs in normal proportions (and don’t eat until you’re full). If you go beyond your limits, make sure you find the balance again. This way, dieting does not become a struggle and you are consciously involved with your nutrition.
  • Perhaps this point should have been at the top, but we don’t listen enough to our own body. We live a lot in our heads and sometimes lose touch with our own body. Feel how your body reacts to something (possibly agitates) and do something with it. Ignoring it or not even feeling it will ultimately cause you more hassle.

Nothing for a while…

And such a relaxing moment is also an ultimate moment to bring the body and mind back together. Most sauna complexes nowadays offer much more, from singing bowl therapy to candle wax massages and everything in between. Choose something that feels good and not what your companion does. After all, it’s about your own body.

Finally

Everyone has their own reason why life has become unbalanced, or you don’t realize it yet and then it will happen (unfortunately few people escape it). This also means that no ready-made solutions can be provided. There are some rules and if you set your personal yardstick against them and you do well, then you are not doing so badly. But you will have to make your own choices about what you do, what you don’t do and how you organize your life in balance. Fortunately, you are also responsible for your own life.
