Warm cosmetic colors adorn the cool months

During the cool months of the year, we seek warmth. This concerns the house, our clothing, but certainly also when it comes to make-up. We would like to continue the warmth of the summer months, whether or not acquired outside the Dutch borders. After all, it is a pleasant feeling and asks for more. The colors of the cool months are warm and intense, embracing and giving a pleasant feeling.

Basic makeup

When we talk about warm colors, we are talking about colors that can vary greatly from season to season. The base remains the same and at most your facial skin is slightly paler, day cream and foundation basically do not or hardly change. However, more and more women are using a day cream with a slightly fuller texture during the cold months. To withstand the cold and still keep the skin supple, a fuller day cream is sometimes useful. The same day cream would be too full in the warmer months and give the feeling that the skin is closed off.In any season, a protector against UV light is not an unnecessary luxury. The sun in winter can also have a negative effect on the skin.Source: Giuliamar, Pixabay

Colour!

But once the foundation has been laid, color is what can complete the picture. The warm colors that are on the cosmetic shelves during the cold months (see attached photos). The advantage of the colors that predominate in the cold months is that there is always a color that suits you. After all, if you are more of a cooler type, then hard burgundy/purple colors or deep brown (close to black) can suit you well. The softer shades of brown, beige and liver color suit better those who prefer warmer colours.

What’s there?

It goes without saying that the cosmetics market is eagerly responding with new or updated products. Think about:

  • Nail polish, where the long drying time and how to shorten it have already been considered. Very easy! Shine? Get one with a gold sheen.
  • Eye shadow, in boxes containing two to four colors and where a suitable palette has been made, for example from beige to deep brown or old pink to deep purple.
  • Mascara, the age-old black, is and remains immensely popular and the most used cosmetic product. However, the deep brown that even leaves a subtle shine is also very beautiful.
  • Lipstick, the lips are painted with warm skin tones to deep brown or even purple with a gold sheen. Some brands also have a built-in protector. Always useful for the cold months. Only one gloss is allowed on the lips, but the ones that give a warm gold shine have that little bit more. The lips also appear fuller with such a gloss.
  • Rouge/blusher, this should not be missing in the cold season. From warm pink to burgundy/purple. Of course, carefully under or on the buttocks, diagonally upwards towards the ears. And above all, let it blend subtly onto the rest of the facial skin. A blusher is a product that should accentuate and is not suitable for making a statement (which is possible with the eyes or lips, for example).

Finally

The color ranges are constructed in such a way that there is of course something for everyone and of course it fits perfectly with the warm (clothing) colors for the cold months. In these months there is a lot of brown, purple (in a warmer variant) and of course black. You can create beautiful and subtle combinations this way.
