Collagen bank or collagen box – Experiences and results

The latest craze in beauty and anti-aging is the collagen bank. It looks like a tanning bed – after all, it is a couch that you can lie on and that irradiates your skin with light. However, you do not tan with it and it is not harmful to the skin either. The pink light rays from the collagen bank, on the other hand, stimulate the skin’s collagen production so that your face and body become firmer and fuller and further aging is prevented. We tried out the collagen box for several months. These are our experiences and results.

How does the collagen bank/collagen box work?

Until the age of 25, our body produces enough collagen to keep our skin young and elastic. However, after this age, production decreases and the skin becomes dull, flabby and wrinkled. By using the collagen bank or collagen box, collagen production is stimulated again.According to a Swiss study, 70% of users noticed clear improvements in the appearance of small wrinkles after just ten treatments (after two to three weeks). After twenty treatments with the collagen bank or collagen box, this percentage already reached 90% and after thirty treatments, clear results were noticeable for 100% of the users. 80% of users also saw a difference in deep wrinkles after thirty treatments.

Instructions

The collagen bank or collagen box can be used in the same way as a tanning bed. Simply set the timer and then lie under the collagen lamps. For the first two weeks you should follow four treatments of 15 minutes each per week. Then four 20-minute treatments for five weeks. You have then reached the maximum number of treatments with the collagen bank or collagen box and one weekly treatment of 20 minutes is sufficient. You may deviate a little from this program, but do not try to follow more than the indicated number of treatments.

Experiences with the collagen bank/collagen box

We completed a full course of collagen lamps, i.e. thirty treatments according to the above program. For this we used the smaller version, the collagen box, with which only the face can be treated and not the rest of the body. This version for the face is more compact than the collagen bank and contains fewer collagen lamps, making it a lot cheaper than the collagen bank intended for the whole body. However, the collagen lamps for the face have one major disadvantage: they are not practical. After all, the face must be just a few centimeters from the collagen box and it is not so easy to install the collagen lamps at the right height and also sit comfortably. Try sitting in an awkward position for twenty minutes several times a week. This may deter potential users, causing the treatment to be stopped prematurely or to be poorly followed.

Results of the collagen bank/collagen box

As with many other beauty treatments, the results of the collagen box do not correspond to what is described in the advertising and manual. The skin’s collagen production may be stimulated a little, but the results are not to the extent that the effects are really visible. On the other hand, similar but more expensive treatments in a beauty institute (such as Elos Skin Therapy) also do not produce satisfactory results. Conclusion: Provided constant use of the collagen bank or collagen box in the long term, further aging and sagging of the skin can be slowed down a bit. However, if you want to use the collagen bank or collagen box to transform and visibly rejuvenate your skin, it is better to look for another anti-aging product.
