The Ugg became the symbol of Southern California. Since then things have gone very quickly, Ugg shoes were for sale everywhere and appeared in big cities and small villages. Not only rich people wore Uggs, but also people with a lower income wore these shoes. The Ugg appeared in ski shops and other sports stores. The love for these shoes began to grow as Brian Smith had hoped. Around 1990, celebrities started noticing the Ugg Australia brand. They also fell in love with the brand and still wear the Uggs to this day.

Clean your pair of Uggs in 10 steps with the care kit

If you own a new pair of Uggs, it is advisable to purchase an Ugg care kit. This care kit has a price tag of 29.95 and is really worth it. This means you will keep the Uggs longer.

The Ugg care kit contains:

  • A special brush for the suede
  • Ugg sheepskin protector
  • Ugg sheepskin freshener
  • Ugg sheepskin cleaner & conditioner

Step 1

Your pair of Uggs are still new and unworn. It is important to keep track of your Uggs from day one. Before you wear the Uggs, use the brush for the suede. You do not have to put any pressure on this brush, you carefully move the brush in one direction over the suede. As you can see, some dust comes off. When you have finished the entire shoe, use the eraser at the back and lightly make a circular motion over the suede. All dust has now been removed from your Ugg.

Step 2

Now you can use the Ugg sheepskin protector so that you can also wear the shoes in the rain. Before use, shake the bottle well. You remove the cap and spray the spray over both Uggs from a distance of 30 cm to create a vapor. It is best to do this outside or in a ventilated room. Be careful not to spray too much, the Uggs should now both be damp but not wet. Now the waiting can begin. Let the shoes dry for at least 24 hours.

Step 3

When both Uggs are completely dry, use the suede brush again. Again, first use the brush in one direction and then the eraser. Now your Uggs are ready to be worn.

Step 4

You have already worn your Ugg shoes for a few months and they are already getting a bit dirty. Time to thoroughly clean your pair of Uggs.

Supplies:

  • Ugg care kit
  • Two clean sponges
  • Two bowls of clean cold water
  • Newspapers for maintaining shape
  • Toilet paper

Step 5

First, use the suede brush in one direction. There is a lot of dust and dirt that ends up in the suede.

Step 6

You have placed two bowls of clean cold water and you take the first sponge. You dab this in the cold water. You completely wet both Uggs so that they are darker in color. Don’t be alarmed, they do dry up. Your Uggs are completely wet and now you take some toilet paper and dab over your Uggs so that they are a bit cleaner.

Step 7

Now take the other bowl with the other sponge. You wet this sponge and drip a small amount of your Uggs sheepskin cleaner and conditioner over it. You apply this to your Uggs in circular movements. If all goes well, it will soak up a bit and you will see the suds disappear in your Uggs. Now take some toilet paper again and carefully dab your Uggs. We’re almost done!

Step 8

Take the newspapers and make wads of newspapers and put them in the Uggs. Better to have too much newspaper in your Uggs than too little. The newspapers absorb the water. The wait begins again and you let the Uggs dry for 24 hours. Do not place in the sun or near a heater! Your Uggs are completely dry and you can take out the newspapers. First use the brush again to brush the hairs in the right direction. Then use the eraser and use it in the same direction.

Step 9

The sheepskin protector is needed again and you spray your Uggs from a distance of about 30 cm. Let it dry for about 24 hours. You can wear the Uggs earlier, but please note that only by waiting 24 hours can you assume that your Uggs are truly water-repellent.

Step 10 the last step!

The last step is to make your Uggs fresh on the inside again and you can do this with the sheepskin freshener. You spray this in your Uggs and let it dry and you can finally wear the Uggs again! You should have clean Uggs again and you can wear your Ugg Australia boots for a while.
