Get a tattoo

A tattoo is a form of art that is placed on one or more parts of the body. One should always be sure if one wants a tattoo and why he or she wants it. Nowadays, one can find tattoos in different shapes, types and colors. A tattoo is permanent and can only be removed with an expensive and long-term laser treatment.

History of the tattoo

Tattooing has been around for centuries and goes way back in history. In history, it was not used as a form of art or decoration of the body, but as an indication of which tribe one belonged to, what rank one had or as a form of religion. The way these tattoos were done was very different from today’s technological ways. The instruments varied from animal teeth to even human bones, where the image was actually burned into the skin with raw materials such as earth or vegetable dyes.

How is a tattoo done?

Nowadays a tattoo is made using needles that pierce the upper layer of the skin. Here, color pigments are injected with a device that can achieve 2000 to 3000 stitches per minute. First the tattoo artist will make the drawing himself with one small needle, then the tattoo will be colored in with several needles at the same time.

Care of the tattoo

The skin will react to the tattoo as a kind of burn and will respond as quickly as possible to heal it. The skin will become red and feel burning and painful. It is therefore very important that it is regularly disinfected and properly cared for. You will usually be given an ointment that must be applied regularly to promote healing. It is not recommended to expose the tattooed skin to the sun, as this can cause irritation and reduce the healing process.

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

A person’s pain threshold varies from person to person. Many people will say it hurts to others who will say they don’t feel anything. However, they are needles that are injected into your body and it can therefore certainly be felt as painful. The pain is usually described as burning, and is especially felt in places closer to the bone.

Remove tattoos

There are a lot of reasons for possibly removing a tattoo. It’s holding you back from getting a job you want or keeping you from achieving goals you’ve set or having a gang-related tattoo you don’t want anything to do with anymore. But the most reason why a tattoo is removed is because an ex-love has a tattoo somewhere on the body and they want it removed. It used to be complicated and painful to remove these tattoos. Nowadays this can be removed faster and easier with laser treatment. However, these treatments are often very painful and expensive, so always consider in advance which tattoo you are going to get and your possible future plans.

Temporary tattoos

The temporary tattoos are a good alternative to real tattoos. They are placed less deeply and disappear automatically after some time. Temporary tattoos can be done using henna products or airbrush. The temporary tattoos usually disappear after 2 to 10 days.
