Painful canker sores and the healing influence of blueberries

Many people know that blueberries are extremely healthy and can have a healing effect on the body. However, its influence on painful mouth ulcers is still not widespread. However, the blueberry contains substances that ensure that mouth ulcers can no longer develop in the mouth over time. However, most doctors do not have an answer to the question of how to prevent the development of canker sores. Canker sores are the small, white, inflamed spots in the mouth. They often occur on the soft flesh of the inside of the cheek, gums or tongue. Once someone is susceptible to it, they will become infected again after every wound (due to a bite on the tongue or cheek, or due to damage to the gums) in the mouth.

The cause of painful canker sores

Anyone who pays close attention will notice that canker sores are often caused by eating fruit, such as apples, with the peel, even if they have been well washed. Also, accidentally biting your tongue or cheek while eating, which can cause a small wound, can lead to the development of a blister or “canker sore” after a day or two. This means that there are bacteria somewhere in the mouth or in the blood, which can regularly cause inflammation in the mouth if damaged.

Damage through a wound

Bacteria can enter through damage to the gums or other small wounds in the soft flesh of the cheeks or tongue and cause inflammation. A painful bite on the cheek, tongue or lip can cause damage. The peel of apples and other fruit is often washed, but not always the contaminants or minuscule particles of agricultural poison have been removed.

Painful ulcers on the edge of the tongue affect speaking and eating

Some ulcers can become quite large. The most painful are ulcers that occur at the back of the mouth on the side of the tongue, sometimes making eating and talking almost impossible. In that case, some people only eat some yoghurt, porridge and pudding, but leave out all harder foods that require chewing. Salty foods also bite wounds badly, so eating savory snacks, for example, will often also cause a problem.

The treatment of canker sores by doctors

Canker sores are often treated in healthcare by covering them with tincture or by placing a film over them, which makes them less painful when eating and drinking. Canker sores can also be treated with Doctor Vogel’s resistance-enhancing drug Echinaforce, which is very painful, but after which the inflammation disappears a little more quickly. However, all these remedies hardly relieve the pain.

Only the phenomenon is treated

Treating canker sores does not mean that new canker sores will no longer develop. In this way, one only treats the phenomenon, but not the cause. Apparently medical science knows too little about canker sores to know how to prevent them. Yet it is not that difficult.

Eating blueberries daily as a remedy for canker sores

Everyone knows by now that blueberries are one of the healthiest foods, but I have not come across the anti-inflammatory effect of these nutrients on canker sores. Yet it works. Anyone who eats a portion of blueberries every day and never forgets it will eventually develop an ulcer only occasionally and exceptionally. Not only that, but the overall resistance of the body often also improves.

Don’t expect any improvement in the short term

The only disadvantage is that it takes a while before you benefit from it and the canker sores disappear. This applies to most natural products. It may take up to six months before you notice that you are getting fewer canker sores than before.

Blueberries are scarce in winter

In late autumn, winter and early spring, blueberries are often only available in specialty stores and are also very expensive. There are two options to continue using blueberries. In wholesale, blueberries are usually available frozen all year round. They are not cheap there either, but they are less expensive than in specialty stores and supermarkets.

Blueberry jam

In addition, it is possible to eat a sandwich with blueberry jam every morning. That is tasty and nutritious at the same time. Those jars of blueberry jam are also available in stores all year round.

Canker sores can return if resistance is reduced

You may notice that you get canker sores more quickly after an illness or an operation, but this can be remedied by eating blueberries every day. Together with the daily use of echinaforce and a varied diet, resistance can quickly be brought back to a better level. However, even then it takes time.

Sores on the outside of the lips and around the mouth

The development of sores on and around the lips (a form of Herpes) can also be cured and subsequently prevented by eating blueberries or blueberry jam every day. It takes some time and some discipline to eat blueberries or jam from them every day, but after a few months you will really notice a difference.

Rash with red bumps and pus

Certain rashes can also be cleared up by eating blueberries. If you have a skin rash that keeps reappearing after a few weeks and that you cannot get under control, take it to the doctor first. However, rashes are often a difficult problem for him too and not easy to diagnose. Often you are given one ointment after another that does not help and only makes the skin thinner and more vulnerable. Do not continue with this for too long, but be referred to a dermatologist in time.

Start with the healing blueberries yourself

If your doctor doesn’t know what the problem is and he/she doesn’t think the problem is serious enough to refer you to a dermatologist, then start a course of blueberries. Even if you don’t get good results from a dermatologist. Eating blueberries daily is better than waiting for a new outbreak of the problem and it often helps. It is healthier than using, for example, bacteria-killing tablets, which mess up the entire intestinal system.

Bacterial killing drugs are usually not the solution

GPs sometimes give bacteria-killing medication for a strange but bothersome rash that they cannot properly identify. This kills all bacteria in the intestine. Not only the bad bacteria, but also the good bacteria that are needed to process the food. As you can imagine, this will only cause further problems. It then takes a long time for the intestines to recover, while the problem of the rash is usually still there.
