How to prevent acne?

It happens to many people when we look in the mirror in the morning and see a huge pimple on our face. This can be quite embarrassing. It is therefore important that we know how to treat acne.

What is acne?

A giant pimple on the tip of the nose may seem like a serious problem to the nose’s owner, but acne can be much more serious than just a pimple. Acne occurs in 4 degrees, with the first degree being a mild attack with a few blackheads and pimples. The fourth and worst degree is accompanied by a lot of blackheads, fatty pimples, pimples, abscesses and cysts. This degree also often causes severe inflammation, which turns red or purple. In that case, one should consult a skin specialist. Severe acne can cause permanent scarring if not treated properly. But there are sufficient medicines available at the pharmacy.

Change makeup

Makeup is one of the main causes of acne in adult women. Products made from oil in particular pose the biggest problem. It is not the pigments in the base creams, blushes, cleansing or night creams, or the water in these products that cause acne. It is purely the oil that ensures this. This is a derived product of fatty acids that are stronger than our own fatty acids. So if you are sensitive to acne, it is better to avoid oil products.

The label

Cosmetic products containing lanolin, isopropyl myristate, sodium lauryl sulfate, laureth-4 and D&C red dyes should also be avoided because, like oil, they contain ingredients that are too strong for the skin.

Remove blush

It is important to remove make-up every evening. Use a mild soap twice a day and then rinse it completely from the face. Rinsing six times with clean water is sufficient. Make-up is also not necessary. Therefore, avoid makeup as much as possible, because the less you use, the better it is for the skin.

The pill

Research has shown that certain birth control pills can worsen acne. If this occurs, it is better to go to the doctor so that he can prescribe another pill or point out another method of birth control.

Do not touch that

It is best to leave pimples or blackheads alone. A pimple is an inflammation that can worsen if you push on it. So an infection can develop. There is nothing you can do to make a pimple disappear faster. Normally a pimple lasts for 3 to 4 weeks, but after this time has passed, it will go away on its own.A blackhead is an uninflamed, clogged pore. The core of a blackhead is a lot smaller than that of a pimple. When you push on the blackhead, the inner wall of the pore may tear open, allowing the contents to escape into the skin, creating a pimple.

Do touch

Although it is better to leave most pimples alone, there is one type that you can press on. If the pimple has a yellow head, you can press on it so that it pops open nicely and will then heal faster. You can also press black dots.

Therapy

Acne can be treated with medicines available without a prescription. It is best to choose a product that contains benzoyl peroxide, because the benzoyl ensures that the peroxide penetrates the pore, which will release oxygen that kills the bacteria.

Stay out of the sun

When taking acne medications, it is possible that they will react adversely to the sun. That is why one should avoid the sun as much as possible. If you don’t do this, the acne will only get worse.

Cleanse the skin

If you want to apply a product against acne, it is important that you carefully cleanse the skin every time.

One treatment at a time

Do not use different medicines together. If you use an acne product available without a prescription, you should stop taking it immediately as soon as the doctor prescribes another product.

Dry skin extra care

Dry skin can be sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. It is best to use a product with the lowest possible concentration, which can be gradually increased if necessary. The skin may turn red after applying this product, but that is completely normal.
